Right im about to go and look at a corsa, it was originally a 1.4 16v but its got a 1.6 16v in it at the moment. Im a mechanic but i work in a cit/pug specialist, i did buy a 5 door corsa a while back for about £50 and MOT'd & sold it on, just wondering what to look out for with these other than the obvious? The one i had failed on some snapped springs and corrosion, to be honest this is the only one ive ever worked on (aside from servicing and brakes blah blah)
Im mainly concerned about the engine swap, i do this on a weekly basis at my place of work and i no a few things we convert are stupidly simple like the saxo's/106's, are these similar? as in if your sticking with the same chassis that the motor is from does it take a complete monkey to mess it up or do i need to double check everything thats been done?
Any head's up info is much appreiated!

Rust is the main thing, Everything else is normal used car buying IMO.
As for the engine swap, It would take a monkey to mess it up, They are essentially the same engine.

lmao ive spent 4 years on sax-p its a standard answer to a newbie! it does annoy me when its always asked to death didnt want to shoot myself in the foot!
