i love 182's but hate the ''boy racer'' image they give off. would have one though if i didn't do 90% of my driving above 70mph, as according to the internet they are unbearable at that speed.

I am not disputing that 172/182 drivers have seen an indicated 150mph whilst their car was screaming its arse off, going downhill with hurricane Katrina behind it.

I just found the fact someone said it was happily "sitting at 150 mph" laughable.

A V10 M5 "sits at 150 mph".

What Power/Mods was this Clio running out of interest?

IIRC Evo hit 149mph on a 2 Mile Straight in their long term Leon Cupra which would be running standard power (240 ish bhp).

I've hit 158mph in my bean tin Civic. Not an indicated 158, but a limited by gearbox ratio/rev limiter 158. It is possible!
