Corsa with a jet engine, or just a 172 with the tyres pumped up.

Rod Tarry. One of my old mates old man.

As you say he's not one to go on about it but yes he has reached 200mph in his saph.
I was once a passenger in this about 8 years ago just before he went mega bonkers on it. It used to light the rear wheels up 5th. Its an awesome car.

Buy this and be 180mph there, get a few more bhp's and longer gearing from MRC and 200mph!

Only if the tyres have been inspected by an FIA pit crew member though. Don't just take it to shell, you will be dead within minutes m8

Timrud could do it, then pop into neutral at 200mph and roll to a stop

You're mistaken.

He's done it to lower the centre of gravity. The car will be more stable, therefore will be able to reach a higher top speed.
Works a small percentage better if he reclines his seat and lies slightly flat.

172/182''s sit at 150mph so with a zorst and filter they can probably do it.
