Thinking of buying a spoiler for the astra, when i look on ebay all of the gsi ones are fibreglass nearly or abs plastic. Ive always stayed clear of fibreglass etc due to bad quality but i see loads of people have bought them so my question is, are they acctualy of good quality? are some better than others? is it worth buying one?

Fibreglass isn't always going to be perfect, you might end up cutting some away or you might end up with a perfect fit.

I got one for my saxo years back, It looked great when it was painted up but when we fitted it we noticed it was slightly twisted, then after 3 or 4 months the weave in the fibreglass started to show through on top and started to look scruffy.

Try turbo chris on astra owners club, He breaks the GSI's so he may have a genuine one for sale.

Shouldn't crack but will probably show signs of wear easier and faster then the genuine stuff

I had a fibreglass (I think) spoiler on my Corsa and it never cracked or anything, was pretty good quality and it was a cheap eGay jobbie too. Was on the car for about 6 years and I'd imagine still is.
