I need to remove the bottom hose on my radiator sooo I am going to remove the power steering housing to get access to it. But to get access to the screw (circled in green) for the power steering housing, I need to remove the hoses circled red in the pic above.
Anyone know what this component is? And any precautions before removing the pipes?
I also attach a 2nd pic so you can see the component in relation to the rest of the engine bay.

ALSO,
I noticed a small vacuum hose(?) that has come loose near my coolant reservoir towards the back-top of the engine block (pic below).
Anyone know what this is?

Many thanks.

The second pic, the joint circled in red is the tank vent relay.

Many thanks guys for your quick help.
I will now proceed to undo the hoses on the "SAI" in order to gain access to the power steering screw
This SAI thingy is not even mentioned or shown in my Haynes manual!
What does the "tank vent relay" do? And is it essential that the loose vacuum pipe is fixed?
Sorry for all the questions. I am keen to learn

Yes fix the vac hose.
It may just need a new rubber, or it can maybe be cut depending how badly split it is.
