Hi guys i have a question on the cams are the inl and ex cams the same deg(profile) some guys say that it's the same and others say it's not
so now a Q to the guys that know the eco-tec’s what’s the dif between the cams or are they the same profile

Pretty sure the inlet cam is different the the exhaust cam. Think one is longer than the other as well?

Hi thanks for the reply, no they are exactly the same length it’s just the profile I’m not sure any more as some say it’s the same and others say its not

Do you have a Haynes manual to hand? Not sure if it gives details on cam profiles in there?

Hi no i do not have one but i have looked on the net but to no reveal only on astra owners club uk are there a debate on this also but as i said some say it’s the same and others say no it’s not the same. the reason i want to know is i have put in some performance cams but want to put back the std cams and not sure which one comes where

Aaah, in that case there must surely be either two part numbers you can contact your local dealer about and they can tell you whether its inlet or exhaust, or if you check the cams there might be an 'ex' or something stamped on?
