General information -
I know I’m going to regret this, but due to family & financial commitments I’m offering my Corsa Rally car for sale. It’s a car I built myself from scratch, and have competed as, and when, I could afford to, on 20 events since 2004 ( which is very little on the scale of things, oh and it won best turned out car’ on its 1st event). It’s been a reliable outfit, as well as competitive, in the 1400 class, on both tar and gravel. Finishing regularly in the top half of the class. I’ve recorded a 1st in class on tarmac at Otterburn Keith Knox stages and The RAC challenge on gravel in Greystoke. With the setup I’ve had its been running at 130bhp ( well printout available) at the wheels, which I think is pretty good for the spec.
It’s with regret that I cannot afford to fund competing in future events, and matters haven’t been helped by a combination of engine repairs when the head-gasket needed replacing after its last outing.
Unfortunately, I’ve not had chance to complete the work, so while it’s in bits it’ll be a great time for someone to fit some competition cams to make it a really competitive car at all levels. Either way it’ll need a remap to get the best from the engine, if either standard or performance cams are fitted.
All my results are available on request.
Whilst the car is in bits with the engine and gearbox out, it’s an ideal time for me to sell. As far as I know all that’s needed to rally this car once the engine’s back in is in-date harness’s, a battery and window film to comply with the rule change since its last outing.
