Cool!
Managed to get it timed up today, I now have 210psi on piston 1, 180psi on piston 2, 210psi on piston 3 and 230psi on piston 4.
Any idea why the psi might be down on 2? All should be ok though.
Main thing im strugging on now is the belt tensioner. I cant get the spring compressed enough to bolt back on the timing case. Its the belt that runs the alternator and waterpump.

With regards to the compression the only thing you can do is put it all back together and see how it runs. May well be alright. Its a lot better than 85!
That tensioner is a arse, I always struggle with it.

Hoping it will run ok, at least it isnt near 100psi!
Any tips with the tensioner?

Found a tensioner in the box of bits I was given, bolted the engine mount back ok, belt, e.t.c. Took the sump of and cleaned it, new gasket. Fired up straight away with no leaks, runs fine, just passed MOT!
