They have nearly doubled my gas bill £23 to £44.
I have hardly started using my heating yet.
Anybody else had this?

Mine was put up from 95 to 131 (gas and elec)
My bill hasn't actually went up by that, just what they take each month, which will be related to the price increases.
The monthly amount (in my case anyway) isn't the same as your bill. The bills come quarterly.

My electric has also gone up now £78 which i dont mind but im really not happy about the gas

Just standard heating system with a system boiler. Im not that fussed about the electric as i do use loads, gonna ring them up about the gas though see what they say.

Doubled your bill or doubled your direct debit? My DD has gone up by about 30%, just means I'm rolling up a little bit more credit

I've got a PC running 24/7 in that, the camera's won't have any bigger than 1W power supplies (for a big camera) so I can't see that adding a large amount to the bill.

We moved from British Gas when they wrote to us to say they were increasing the rates by a silly amount. Moved to EDF on a fixed rate that was much cheaper.
