hi recently smoothed my boot on my corsa b but cant find a boot solenoid kit anywhere just wondering if anyone has one of these knocking around or where i could buy a new one from? Also would it fail the MOT if you cant open the boot? Thanks matt!

Doubt you'll find a kit as such, could nick one off a mk4 fiesta if you can find one in the scrappy.

i did think about the scrappy looks like thats where i will be heading, scoob i did have a quick look on maplin couldnt find much on there cheers anyway!

I used a central locking motor out of an astra, make it fit, then run a wire to dash, i put a switch in dash blank and wired it to switched live and chucked an inline fuse in for good measure.

eBay have them. You want a push solenoid rather than the pull cable type

IIRC, I bought one of these for next to nothing.
A main dealer wanted to charge me about 3 times the price when approached!
