I've just swapped the fuel pump for a MPI one and now i cant get the lid bit to sit back in the top of the tank... its like the rubber seal is now too big :/ can anyone shed any light on this please?

i had the same problem, ether change the rubber ring or try harder lol, got mine on after swearing at it a few times

Just check it's seated right mate, if it isn't it will be pretty hard if it is just push harder  can be a pain sometimes
