Rite i am hopefully picking up a Golf tomorrow for my wife which has the p/plate W9YNR so i am guessing a way of saying Wayne...
I dont really want it and not sure if its worth paying the £110 to put it on retention with the hope of being able to sell it; or just let the DVLA have it back when i put another p/plate on the car.
I guess it cant be worth a fat lot; but i might be wrong. What do people think?

I'd chance it with that one. Sure someone will pay more than your fee to buy it.

£105 if your taking it off and retaining it. Simple job to do. Just ring up of the private plate people see how much they will give you as better than nothing. I would value it at about £900.

£105 is only once as that includes the £80 to assign.
So once you assign, you use the assignment fee from when you removed it.
