Hello!
My 1.0 12v is economical but is absolutly pants for power!
i want to put a reconditioned 1.6 16v (-40,000miles) eco-tec engine in my 1.0 12v!
1. is it possible?
2. where can i pick one up?
3. whats involved?
4. what would it cost for someone to fit?
5. would it be worth it?
any help would be much appreciated?

Your 1.0 12v powerplant produces around 45bhp while the 1.6 is around 107bhp. You are probably better of selling yours and buying a 1.6 mate as it will be less hassle and insurance could be cheaper

I picked up my 1.6 Sport for £5k. Its T reg, 30k miles and probably cheaper in the long run than converting a 1.0 up to 1.6 Spec.

I agree with them as its not just the engine you will need to replace, things like brakes will need to be replaced these things do add up to be quite a lot of ££.
