will an oil pump of a 20xe fit my c20let as it was brand new only last year and was wanting to swap to my new project? any help much appreciated

to the best of my knowledge Late XE & Let pumps are the same

also why your building it up have you fitted or considered a nylon relief valve? its not needed but a lot of people say the standard one can get stuck when worn or dirty oil passes through.

c20let and late spec c20xe use the same oil pumps with the square tooth cambelt setup.

early c20xe use the older round tooth cambelt.


you could use either pumps as long as you use all of the matching cambelt components

pump
crank pulley
cam pulleys
backing plate
belt cover
tensioner
idler pulleys

all need to be the from same set up
