Helping out in a family grocery store and they asked me to find a touch screen till as the classic type till has run outta plu's so after searching around I found a good deal on Ebay for a till with ths screen/ printer and cash draw I have since purchased an orbit scanner aswell.

In the mean time I wanted to try getting everything setup and working, currently using openbravo software which is free and seems to serve my needs for basic till software however I have been having problems getting the cash register to pop open (this is done through the printer Witt an ethernet cable). I managed to get it to pop open via the printer software but then that's it

Was wondering whether there were an experts on here who could help out or maybe knows someone who could come over and help me which obviously I would pay for their time

Any help would be appreciated as I have done as much googling as I can and now at a dead end

Alright m8 I have a few unwell epos tills for sale various models and prices but if you u2u me your number I'll get you sone details . Also have scanners and sticker printers etc

If the cash drawer will fire through the printer software its a setting in the EPOS program you'll have to find.

It'll need the printer driver setting up and then telling its a printer fired cash drawer, then you'll need to tell it that it needs to look for 'printer 1' to fire the drawer.

just checked Openrbravos site. Completely uselss. Looks a right pain to setup.

Get some decent epos software. I'd try sell you ours but its not ready yet

Just checked your ebay link.

Those terminals have a cashdrawer port on them, so might be worth trying that. Might be preconfigured to fire there.

I have tried playing with it but couldnt seem to get it all to work as one unit

Openbravo is not to bad, its really only for a smallish store but didnt know what alternatives there were

Theres a few about, but are cheap and lack in functionality or really expensive.

Were beta testing ours currently, but your looking at a good few hundred just for the licence you'd need in a shop.
