My laptop wont load websites, I downloaded a new firefox and since then it wont load sites in firefox or explorer.
Tried it on home internet and in the office. It does however work in safe mode? I went into msconfig and turned off all the startup programmes but its still got no pages.
Deleted all history, etc and turned off firewall. Still no luck.
Tried system restore but still didn’t work
Ideas?

Firstly i'd uninstall that wank firefox, not sure why you bothered with that. Chrome if anything.
Maybe check in your LAN settings that a proxy hasn't been added for one reason or another.

Hmmm easiest way is probs go on IE, tools, internet options, connections tab, LAN settings at the bottom. Everything in there should be unticked with no info in. Probs isn't that, but if any of those were wrong it would cause the same issue.

Check your TCP/IP settings - specifically DNS server and any filtering options.
I saw this problem once on an XP system and some idiot had changed the filtering options from 'permit all' to 'permit only' and no ports were entered - meaning all ports were blocked.

Msconfig -> load only basic start up services
See if it works then, if it does then it's something starting that's blocking access, in which case I'd spend an hour or so going through and starting each service and seeing if you have access

Will the machine still use email? Not sure if you've got any pop3 accounts setup in outlook or whatever.
Oh, I'm assuming you've tried disabling any anti-virus and anything else running too.
