I'm in shock...
I went to get my innoculations topped up today and see if I needed any new/different ones for places i'm off to soon.
£250 later I had 5 holes in my arm! £250!!!!!!
Blood test, Polio/Tentanus/Dip, Yellow Fever, Hep B (3rd) and Typhoid.
No wonder these companies rake it in

Cavey... its not NHS You dont need them for the UK.
Brett - I didnt pay, but thats not the point. I'm still shocked at how expensive it is.
My dog got his boosters yesterday... 3 of them - he was only £30!!!!

Pharmaceutical companies make money from people being sick hence why they never cure anything completely, no sick people = no money. So they keep everyone sick

I had to get 6 jabs once for working with activated biological sludges in an ETP plant. Dead arm all round like!

I nearly went to Ethiopia many years ago when I dated an air hostess, 4 jabs and I nearly fainted before she even got them ready, we went to Turkey instead

That's not the same.
Probably cheaper to go there and get one, not sure immigration would be so happy about that

Fee got hers free too, but that was just typhoid.
I doubt you'd get hep a, hep b, yellow fever on NHS. Tetanus, polio, diptherea and typhiod yes.

I think there is something odd with Hep, like if you get A+B together then its free. When Ive been to Africa Ive only ever paid for Malaria tablets, never any jabs inc yellow fever.
