Went to Autosport this year with a mate as I'd not been for ages, its usually a really good show with loads of interesting cars, parts and people.
We opted for one of the 'trade days' as from past experience its a bit quieter, cheaper and you get a cool engineering section. We didn't bother with the live action arena, but we did pay the extra to get into the Coys auction which was well worth it.
Nick Masons Ferrari 250 GTO, he apparently turned down 40 million euros for it recently.

My favourite current day Aston, I think they look ace. There was a company offering supercharger conversions for the V8, just under 600bhp for £15k plus your car, yes please.

Early last year I went to watch a round of the Maxxis British Drift Championship at Donington Park for the first time, its was a really good day out and from the popularity of the licensing days, it looks like this years championship is going to be even bigger.

Back to the rest of the show and Ian Cook was creating huge paintings using rc cars, driving the cars over blobs of paint already on the canvas.

The Porsche 318 Hybrid looked really nice but I couldn't get a decent shot of it on its rotating table top thing, so heres a cool bit.

Awesome pics.
I've got to admit, the last time I went, it felt pretty boring. Some better cars this time.

ive got a video of nick masons 250 on the rollers at Northampton motorsport on my phone, sounds amazing and in real life is so loud, he has 2 of his own personall mechanics just for his cars. His mechanic said he was offered £30 million but said no thanks.
Some nice cars there.
On motors TV now there is a programme of the show.

I met those guys last year. Proper toffs, but surprisingly young and very friendly. We were lucky enough to visit Masons lock up and they showed us around!

very very posh but so much knowledge.
They were on the rollers for about 40 hours just on that car the week before Goodwood revival, told us some intresting stories about drivers they had for that 250GTO. Aparantly Damon hill nearly blew the engine up by increasing the rev limiter when he was told to leave it as it was.
