what i could do, is do it blue, but then say mask off a straight line and do the bottom 3 inches or so of the legs silver

Steve - listen.....


YOU WILL HAVE TO MASK THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.

Your cage will have welds all over it, weld spatters, burn marks etc.

If any tabs or gussets are fitted to brace to the body you'll need to pain them too and the body where its welded.

Just do it in once its in.

yeah get that lol, im now trying to work out what to do about colours

if i do it blue, i think it will be neater to end the blue a few inchs higher then the welds, and do it silver from that point down

Yeah the hoop is one piece.

Do it silver same as the car. White means you'll have edges next to the bodywork.

why 2 tone?

Do the tubes blue and the base plates silver. Tubes are easy to mask

sorry m8 that drawing wasnt to any scale, i meant so the base plates silver then about 1 or 2 inches up the bars, just to give a nice straight mask off away from the welds

spray the tubes, let them dry... mask the dry tube then do the base plates.

The tubes will look like they have socks on if done your way

as adam said once the tube is painted masking of for the feat is easy

my cage is matt black, simply as its easy to touch up when it gets marks on the door bars etc
