The men? LoL

i think the leds give off the cold blue tinge. I might try a white cloth over the top to try defuse the led light and try reduce the blue look. Saying that it still looks ok?

I agree with steve the white balance is wrong and looks too blue. This can be changed easily in your camera settings. No need to try and make your lights 'whiter'

Nice shots, how did you make your lightbox mate?

You need to start shooting in RAW if you want to adjust the white balance quickly, although it can be done in photoshop on jpeg files with a bit of messing If you are not confident enough to take the control of the aperture/shutter speed settings then turn the picture mode dial into 'P' mode. This is essentially auto mode with more control over ISO and picture format etc. You can then enter the menu and select Image quality, then choose one of the picture formats with +RAW or just RAW on its own.

One thing to take into consideration though is you need special software to open RAW files, Canon should have given you some with the camera on a CD but Adobe Camera Raw, or any Adobe photo package for that matter is 10 times better for adjustability etc

lol, i do take some stuff in RAW, its just the space on my 'old' laptop all the picks take up.
i'll have a fiddle with RAW later.

I don't shoot in AUTO anyway.

These are all done in MANUAL, so I can alter the apature/speed and ISO as I see fit.. also experiment.

I'll try 'M' and shoot a few in RAw and then see what i can do to swap the WB.

done a couple of test shots in RAW, then had a fiddle with WB, sharpening and a bit of saturation/colour etc. Not 100% sure what i need to alter but these look better than the original. Colour of th egg i so much better and teh 'blue' tinged backing paper looks 'whiter' too.

what do you think?

Its not difficult to make a 'lightbox'. In fact you don't really need to make a box at all.

Get a big sheet of white paper and bend it at the back to form an infinity curve (google it). Couple of lights left and right, done.
