I've got a photo that i need to make look like it was from the 40's for a flyer.

However, i've noticed that adverts in the 40's contained a drawn picture of the person/subject, like so...

Any ideas on what that style is known as so i can research it or how i could make a photo look like that?

just play around with all the effects in photoshop, am sure it could be done with a mix of them
