Whats "heat cracking"? Do you mean a glazing then surface break up on the pad?

I've had that with both 2500 and 3000s. Normally after being a bit of a bufty on the brakes - holding a steady light pressure brake for a long time. i.e braking lightly from a high speed rather than a hard/fast brake.

I cleaned/roughed them up with a bit of sandpaper


Yer I am aware they are....

I would call it more than glazing as the whole pad was cracked (large ones) to the backing and spoke to several people showing them and they advise me to go for a "harder" pad hence the 3000's

I have checked pad several time and all is good so far!!!
