I wouldn't want that job no matter how much you paid and think he'd be mad to take it.
On reflection, this clamour for Redknapp is exactly the same as it was for Schteve after Sven. Harry is just the flavour of the month, I'm not saying he wouldn't be able to do a good job, but the media hype is exactly the same as last time. The media alone have turned the job into the poisoned chalice that it currently is.
I don't recall any clamour to get McLaren in. He was just the easy choice for the FA. I certainly didn't want the fucker to get it!

I think one of the problems the above mentioned managers had was that they haven't had good enough Left wingers, which is why some of our more outstanding players have had to fill that void at times.

Shouldnt be a problem anymore. No one should be playing 4-4-2 at international level these days.

quote: Redknapp has emerged as the public's choice to replace Fabio Capello, who departed the job on Wednesday evening when he resigned in the aftermath of John Terry being stripped of the captaincy.
The Spurs boss, who this week was cleared of tax evasion charges, now finds himself odds-on to take charge of the Three Lions, although he insists that he has not yet been approached by the Football Association.
"It is flattering," he admitted. "It's nice, I'd be lying if I said otherwise.
"I'd have to consider it obviously, but there's been no approach."
not exactly turning it down is he
the only question is he is ruling it out as a dual role, would he transfer straight into the role? or wait until season end,
iv read figures around 5mil to pay to spurs in compo

If they hire anyone other than Harry Redknapp now, the FA will be even more of a joke than they already are.
Why are they saying things like 'we are putting together a shortlist...'
Fuck that, get out there, get Harry sorted.

Dunno, he wanted to join Chelsea and stay in London last time. He might not want to stop if Harry goes so be crazy not to try and sign him. Part in jest, part is what I'd like to happen

They will probably have to interview a few 'minorities' so the liberals dont kick up a fuss.
