The 231, are they any good? They seem ridiculously cheap for what they are.

If possible, get it pressure tested. They're prone to over heating which causes the rotor tips to fail. That's why a lot of them are cheap because of the maintainance side of things.

If there started / stopped in the correct way there's no issue as far as I know , fair enough u can't just move the car into the drive then turn it off because it will flood lol.

Never experienced flooding of them so unsure how easy it is to flood them. Just going oFf what I've read.

Regular servicing and correct start / stop procedure there shouldn't be an issue

If you move them you just rev them like said. Me and my mum looked at one the other year at a dealership, we went for a test drive and sales guy revved it to 4k and switched the engine off straight away. It started fine after he done it.

One of the guys I go to footy with has one, engine is very smooth and nice power delivery, he says it costs a lot to run though with the tax and fuel/oil usage.

Would imagine a combination of running costs and horror stories of failed engines has driven the prices down.

Jimbo, we sell shitloads of coils, spark plugs and leads for them.

In theory, it's a great engine, but, at £90 a coil (times 4) and £25 a plug (times 4 again), you can see why they're cheap now!

Half the fuel consumption of the MPS & the MPS eats them in a race, I know what one I'd rather have
