I think Briatore wanted to be manager
I liked how he came back when everything started going well Tosser!
Thought that amit did a decent job, clearly was a fan of the club. That other Italian who seemed to work for briatore but never agreed with what he said was alright too. Just Briatore was a massive STEVE EVANS.
I particularly liked "you pay £10, I pay £35m, I don't listen to you, I sell club, you can run it, I want names of who is criticising me or I sell the club" when fans confronted him after a game. Grade A tool, someone would have had to hold me back if he was saying that to me about my club.
Agreed on all that.

Interesting comment on Sunday Supplement just now -
Chelsea have no strategy, they just go for managers on the back of winning things -
Mourinho (CL - Porto)
Scolari (WC - Brazil)
Hiddink (CL - PSV)
Ancelotti (CL - AC Milan)
Villas-Boas (UEFA Cup - Porto)

I'd love to see Jose back but sadly I don't think it'll happen.
If 'we' end up with that fucking clueless bellend Rafa though I'll be absolutely gutted.

Rafa is kinda clueless. he is the guy who pushed Xabi Alonso out the door because he wanted to bring in Gareth Barry
I'm not sure whether Chelsea could Tempt Mourinho back considering how well Real Madrid are doing at present, And there's no chance of them being able to lure Hiddink from Anzhi Makhachkala imo.
Maybe Di MAtteo will do a decent job and get the job full time?

Yeah because that's a good yardstick to measure a managers career on Is Fergie clueless' because he let Pique go back to Barca? he made mistakes but he's a good manager who needed some media training.
Maureen doesn't get on with senior players or Perez so I reckon he's nailed on to leave Madrid, but who knows if he and Abramovic could put aside their differences?
I doubt if Di Matteo will end up being the long term manager.

In Fairness Pique wanted to leave and there wasn't much Fergie could do to convince him to stay, he wanted Pique to stay which is why he let shawcross leave (facepalm) but they are 2 completely different situations.

Exactly, and both do little to back up claims about a manager being crap/stupid/whatever. For the record he didn't want Xabi to leave when he did, Xabi had a poor season in 07/08 and he massively upped him game for the 08/09 season but the damage was already done. It's funny how quick people are to write of Rafa, look at what he did at Valencia, and what he did at Liverpool. I'd welcome him back with open arms when Kenny leaves.

I was most impressed by his stint at Inter. Turning a treble winning team into a shambles in a few weeks. Good effort.
