Check the subframe, e46 m3s are a bitch for cracking the floor where the rear subframe mounts, if it's less than 10 yr old with no mods BMW will fix them free of charge if it's more than 10 yr old or has mods then you would be into a couple of grand to repair, just something for you to check as it really is notorious on M3s

Notorious as in you only hear of the ones that have cracked lol. But yeah some can get real bad, a visual check of the boot floor from inside the car is about as far as you can go without dropping the subframe to check it. Best check I've heard of is putting the handbrake and keep dipping the clutch as if to pull away, if one side of the car is dropping down then it's going/gone

I would love to buy a 'cracked' m3. Never really seen them for sale though as advertised as 'fooked'. Fix it myself - cheap m3 for me

When somebody can get it fixed for £300 I don't think anyone is mad enough to sell it for several thousand less than it's worth!
