is it normal for a corsa sport to run hot i have a p reg 1.4 corsa sport and it always sits at 90 or just over even on long journeys with the heaters on one ?

Yep.

That's way most new cars don't come with a temp gauge now as people think at 90 degrees an engines running too hot. Most new engines run much hotter than that.
