Looking at organising a trip that will be a reunion of a group of lads that went to Tenerife when we were 17.
Now we are 26/27 so looking for somewhere a bit more civilised than the usual 18-30 destinations, but still with decent nightlife and beaches.
Ideally somewhere not too far as it might only be a long weekend.
Suggestions please!

Actually I had come to a similar conclusion.
Well, I agree with Portugal, but I was looking at Albufeira?

Yeah both nice and if you stay in one you can easily get a cab to the other. Albufeira is nice, got a bar strip for typical Brits abroad shit, old town aswell which is a bit nicer. Vilamoura has a harbour with bars and restaurants round. Both really nice so stay in either and you can vary.
Search on here, loads of threads about Portugal. Been every year for 5 years now to vilamoura, have an awesome time every year.

I think we will want somewhere that's quite lively at night, I get the impression that out of the 2, Albufeira is better for that.

I'm going there this year.
I would also recommend www.outlookfestival.com in Croatia, can't beat an abandoned fort for a 'club'!
