I know u can get "number plate pads" which are double sided sticky foam pads which attach the plate to the car

Get to a shop that makes the big posters, ask them for some tape, use that, sticks better than anything

The double-sided pads or tape for fixing exterior trim will be fine. The most important thing is to make sure the surface behind in clean. Wash it with detergent & water (not wax & wash) then clean with good quality white spirit and some clean cloth then, once it's dry, you'll be OK.

velcro is what i use on mine

and do as leafgreencorsa say, clean it first off. also give it a wipe with tar remover or white spirit, this removes any residue on the paint work, giving u a clean contact

Sticky Pads from Halfords. Used the whole pack on front and back (about 24 pads each! But they're small ones!) Been there for months, never been a problem.
