2001 non PD 110bhp. Turbo completely blew up so had to get a new turbo.
Stripped the head off to check for debris inside, all looks clear. Changed the intercooler to rule out any debris in there.
Built back up, we've done the timing about 3 times, it's definitely correct.
Problem is we can't get it to start at all now.
Engine turns over, it even runs briefly on brake cleaner but won't catch on it's own.
Tried to bleed the fuel system as best we can, only a few bubbles in the clear intake pipe now but it was like that before hand.
No fault codes in vagcom
Running out of ideas now, anybody got any suggestions?

have you tried to tow it off ?, when i replaced a headgasket on a gt tdi it wouldnt start until it was towed off, after it was towed off it started on its own first time, its something to do with the fuel pressure in the lines, common problem.

Only thing I'm thinking about that is, would running on break cleaner not have done the same thing? I'll try it anyway though.

Still can't get this started.
Tried sticking the fuel intake from the pump straight into a jerry can, it's definitely pulling through with no bubbles but no luck.

Silly question, how long have you left it turning over?
