Sounds like your confused by the ohms law...
lower ohms = more power watts
300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
600 watts RMS @ 2 ohms

nope, its an alpine mrd m300, says if running one sub needs to be 4 ohm, anyother combination needs to be 2ohm
the 4 ohms subs providing are dvc can be run at 2 or 8 ohm.
correct me if im wrong, btw to jl do 4 ohm subs?

think someone got their shit crossed lol
• MAX Power: 600W x 1(2Ohm)
• 300W x 1 RMS [2Ohm (1%THD, 20Hz-200Hz)]
• 150W x 1 RMS [4Ohm (1%THD, 20Hz-200Hz)]

The ALPINE MRD M300 pushes out
150W RMS x 1 (4 ohms)
300W RMS x 1 (2 ohms)
JL do Dual 2 ohm, Dual 4 ohm or Dual 6 ohm subs...
you would need the Dual 4 ohm in order to show it at 2 ohm to the amp.
just a min... i seen where your going now... you forgot to mention it was a 2 ohm DVC sub...

yes running that sub would show either a 1 ohm(par) load or 4 ohm(ser) load...
not good if run at 1 ohm... pants at 4 ohm...
