So just had sky hd installed, but why is ch1 to 5 hd version not on the std channel numbers? Sky one, discovery hd etc are on the old numbers that they used to be but the others aren't. I.e. when I tap in 101 it goes to bbc1 London, not bbc1 hd. Whereas when I type 106 it goes to skyone hd. I want 101 to go to hd!

Thats the channels that sky have set, not much you can do about it.

I'm sure they'll change over eventually

Oh. So every time I want to watch BBC1 it's 143? Just seems odd to me.

bbc1 was on sky before bbc1 hd, simple as that.

more hassle then it's worth i guess.

you'll get so used to the channel numbers eventually that it'll be natural for you to type it in.

Put the Hd channels in favourites then press the blue button (keep pressing to search through the favs) then select for desired choice.

Is a pain in the ass, but for example local news on BBC One you can't watch in HD so you have to go to channel 101 for that.

I wonder if you get any of this with Virgin and their set top boxes?

You'll get used to it. You have a set menu for all the HD channels anyway.

143,169,171,178 missed out C4HD... 140

You'll get used to them, its occasionally good to remember the old school anyway, Scrubs on comedy central etc... 112 in HD 4:9. 222 to fill the screen and not look cheap
