Afternoon all,
Its looking like she's going to need a new clutch very soon, as the preasure plate is f*cked and its becoming impossible to get it in gear.
A standard clutch kit from the local motor factors is about £60, this is for a Quinton Hazell kit which I have used on cars before and never had a problem.
Is there anything out there on the market in the way of performance clutch's for the Corsa Sport (1.6 16v) that isnt going to rape my pocket?
Cheers, Lofty.

When mine died I went for a Black Diamond Fast Road Stage 1 clutch. Got some discount from Tweeks and free delivery.
Certainly felt different afterwards.

Standard clutch will be more than enough tbh.

Well this is why I wanted to check, as I plan to have a transplant done next year & everything upgraded then, so don't want to be spending a massive amount on a performance clutch if it's stupidly more expensive than a standard one.

I just wanted a better clutch and the replies I got upon asking the same were 'standard one will be more than enough' 'standard gm will be fine'.
Ateotd it's what you want. I'm glad I got the one I did, not regret it for one moment. Yeah, maybe a gm one would have done the job and I spent unnecessarily, but it's what I wanted.

If you plan on doing a transplant, good chance your 1.6 clutch won't be needed anyway.
Why did you want a better clutch?? In what way is your clutch better than a standard clutch though?? Apologies if your car is very highly tuned, and benefits from an uprated clutch.

It's clearly not, standard gm would be fine.
