Damn that's a lot of money. When I did my C16SE it cost me £40 to skim and pressure test, also regrind valves.

I stripped and de-coked it myself and fitted 4 new valves.





Price depends on how much you can do yourself and if you want valve guides doing as well really.

im in same position now im rebuilding my head now on my 1.2 and port and polish gonna do it my self tho expect the skimming part
