How do you increase the tempo in a block of sound? Is it same sort of thing as fade in/out ?

Double-click the Project Tempo text to enter an exact value. The text will change to an edit box where you can specify a tempo. Press Enter when you are finished.

When you click the Project Tempo slider, a bar is displayed in each track header to represent the amount the track is being stretched to match the project tempo. The mark in the center of the bar represents the original tempo of a loop.

Ive done a couple but for some reason the encoding even though MP3 wont let me upload the songs to my Moonfruit site - i asked them why and they said it was to do with the encoding headers or something

I always prepare the loops so they're 2,4,8,16 etc. beats long. That way they'll snap exactly the timeline. The only other way of altering tempo inside Acid is to make the sample a one-shot which is messy if it shouldn't really be that.

Off beat rhythms are very difficult as i found out - i think its good how you can adjust the tempo of samples but if you slow it down too much its distorts slightly.

Is it easy to change upgrade to an Audigy sound card from the Creative Live 5.1 card?
