Thinking of starting something along the lines of the above to shed a few pounds whilst I try and get fit at the gym.
Can anyone linked me to any decent examples of the above or give any guidance on what a good balanced version of the above might look like?
Cheers

atkins diet is pretty much this but an extreme version.
basically just eat meats, eggs, tuna, chicken, turkey, fish etc. the fat will fly off you but you will have 0 energy and your breath will smell like shit

You're energy level will drop but if you can get used to it it isn't bad. If you're lazy and dedicated look at Cambridge diet

Am I the only person to not have had an energy drop with a high protein/fat diet?

Not in the slightest
I get the impression people aren't eating enough fat when doing it and still trying to get their energy from carbs. It's also worth noting that this diet won't work for every metabolic body type and it might just be I'm particularly suited to it.
Not an expert, just trying to share the info I have

Have a look at my Thread buddy, i copied a pretty in depth take on a keto diet.
For the first week or soo my energy levels were shite, but i put a little of it down to sugar cravings and slight depression from no yummy carbs!

I'm doing this at the moment - Started on Sunday and finding myself completely wrecked by about 7pm. Gym is a struggle. On Monday and Tuesday I had the shakes too
Planning on doing it for 30 days as I really don't think its healthy

Youre used to it though. Soon as your body isn't reliant on carbs for energy it's much easier
