Hi Lads.

Need some help, looking to go to Newcastle on the 15th September with the lads. We ususally stay in the Premier Inn Central opposite Liquid but it's fully booked as is the one on the Quayside.

Can anyone recommend anywhere else central that would be good? I've looked on Late rooms etc but it's a pain in the ass to understand where these hotels are located that i've never seen / heard of?

How much you looking to pay? Most of the ones in Jemond can be had for decent money, not city centre but loads of great bars to start with and then a couple of quid in taxi to the Central Station

Think the PRemier in was about £60 for the room mate. Think about £100 would be ok?

Jemond sounds good. Any specific ones you can recommend?

The Caledonian is pretty good for about £75/room, also the Carlton, a bit more expensive at £88/room but has a really good bar called Spy on the ground floor

We stay in Travelodge at Gateshead, get bus into town for about £1 then taxi back only £5! Usually pretty cheap rooms too!

Try the Cairn in Jesmond as well, also has a canny bar downstairs called Belize

We stayed in Jesmond when we went, cracking bars there and as said you get a taxi into the main bit no problem.

I stayed in Hilton at the airport.

Was £50 a night, 12% back through quidco and got a free welcome reward thing (collect 10 and get a free night)
