Well it's been a while since i've posted in this section...

I bought this Corsa B (my 3rd now) from macky aka Chris with an engine problem, suspected dropped a valve.

As I already had an engine (from Scott C aka Monstaaaa) when his car was taken out by a 40 tonne lorry.

This new engine had been fully stripped and rebuilt and just done 1k when the car was smashed.

So now it’s fitted with a lightened flat type flywheel which was done by Noble. Janspeed 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. Straight through de-cat system with a Janspeed backbox. One of them replica inlet manifolds and a K&N panel filter to help it breath.

Here are some pics of the engine swap....

The car...

The Engine before...

Bonnet off and going up...

Engine is on it's way out...

Engine out but very dirty in there!!!

With a quick clean...

Said flywheel...

All the wires hidden round the back...

And all fitted...

I've now done about 20 miles in it and it runs great. It revs up so quick thanks to the lightened flywheel.

I'm going to get it on some rollers round my way next week to see what it's got... My guess 127 bhp... ish.

I had the car on the rollers yesterday... it made........

130.0 BHP!!!!!!!

Yeah I was shocked! He said it's a very strong line all the way up to the rev limit. The torque line was nice and level too.

I'll scan the print off sometime over the weekend.

The head has been ported and polished on this. So it you've got or getting this done, with them mods, you will see past 140bhp. Make sure you get it mapped and a raised rev limit to make the most of everything.

I've got a Dastek Unichip, I want to map it with that to keep costs down a bit. But yeah the head will be ported and everything

Looking good Stephen, nice to see you back in a Corsa instead of that Jeep thing! I remember that engine too

Any parts from your old blue one going on it?

Oh, and do you also own shares in Autoglym?

Yeah, just one of two Autoglym products

Well, the brake servo pipe from my blue Corsa is being used as the one on this car had rubbed through and leaking air very badly. That's it. I'd sold everything else... well I do have de-locked door handles, but then you'd not be able to lock the car, so i've not fitted them.

Oh and still got the Cherokee. Was fun in the floods round here
