Corsa C Z18XE Turbo
Now for Stage Two turbo Upgrade
We are running a GT28-60 Turbo - With smaller inductor wheel to keep it responsive AR.42
Old T25 Turbo
Difference in sizing
New Alloy water Rad
New Oil Feed
Oil Cooler Reloacted
All back together
Actuator is going to be changed to a 8psi spring as currently holding 12-13psi! still very repsonsive coming onto boost (unlike a low comp zlet) and pulls like a train to 7,000rpm
Should be seeing 250-270bhp
Next mods for this car is going to a quaife diff!

Mate that's an oil cooler. The intercooler is the long one below it

intercooler i imagine is fine, looks about a similar size to what you fit for vag turbos running similar power.
people think bigger the better which isnt the case if its too big you get a pressure drop across the system

Yea I thought he meant the oil cooler. The I/C that's on is probably more than up to task..

I was not on about the rad or the oil cooler, the IC imo looked small and it was a genuine question to see if it was up to the task, if their is scope for more power with that size IC. The reason I ask is that the IC used on the charger conversions for the ST are twice the size and only put out a little more in terms of BHP.
Edit: I have an oil cooler for the non believers thinking I a tard

who chooses that size of IC though? probably too big if its much bigger not many people actually spend time calculating the size they need and just fit the biggest ebay item they can find not realising it will actually be making things worse

Im not sure who puts the kits together but Jamsport sell them as do a couple of others.
Im also going off a lot of what is fitted to cars of a similar power (aftermarket wise)

The intercooler is more then efficient enough to keep intake temps at 10psi of boost down to around ambient temps
Its not about how big the intercooler is, as steve said the bigger it is the more pressure drop you get
also bearing in mind Pressure = heat.... not about how much BHP is running, more amount of boost
