Seen a 20k 56 plate 1.6 Ford Focus Automatic going cheapish local. I'm not after power, i'm after something half decent to get me from A to B. What are these like to drive, are the reliable, do they have a 5th gear?

They're not bad cars, reliable. What spec is it? Pretty sure they are 5-speed auto's. The 1.6's are a bit thirsty though, they top out at about 35mpg on a run in a manual.

5 gears, 1.6tdci are good engines.

We had a 1.4 auto Fiesta at work as a courtesy car and was shocking on fuel! So the focus will be the same.

Just to add I was on about the 1.6 petrol, the diesel 1.6 (Peugeot HDI lump) is a cracking engine to be fair.
