I'm not up to scratch on this, but an MOT is predominently(sp) to test the safety of a vehicle, as long as the button operates as intended and doesn't stick, I can't see why it would not IMO.

Yes but as far as I'm aware it has to display a picture of a horn or the word horn? I may be wrong on that though.

Did one for a taxi test a few months back. Didnt have to have anything wrote on it or labled. Just needed a button that opperated a horn. However. Taxi tests are very different than mot's so im not sure if my input was any help what so ever

I had a non latching switch in my Corsa for the horn, unlabelled.

Passed the MOt without any advisory regarding it.

I did notify the tester of the switch and the function when I dropped the car off though.

Mines a button on the dash had

Failed on a few bits the first time round a few years back and one was not having a clearly labelled horn

So just stuck a piece of paper above saying horn and it passed with the other bits it failed on

The car has a sparco quick release and the horn was never connected, i fitted the doorbell switch and wired it to the constant power and then to the horn, it wasn't the actual beelmofmthe doorbell

....although the switch still had the light up wall switch
