On the increase again
Interestingly, my journey (Woking to London) is the example that Sky News have used on this article to compare with the European equivalents:

I Flew to Glasgow from Manchester, then got a pre booked taxi from Glasgow to Loch Lomond for £25 less than an advanced booked train.

Don't think any airlines fly from Woking to London

I know Just saying the price of trains are a load of crap.
You pay the price for working & living in the City, however you pay the same price for working in the City but not living there

It's stupid - £3.3k a year, it's only a 25 minutes journey and I never get a seat

Used to pay just over £200 about 3 years ago for a monthly pass and that was for about a 40 mile a day journey. Was always mobbed and in the winter the trains would be freezing and they would usually be late or cancelled.

Your obsession with money is quite frightening.
Do you ration your toothpaste in the morning?

WTF are you talking about? So if they put up petrol prices by 6.2% you wouldn't be bothered?

Either talk about portfolios and Porsche's or moan about train prices going up by 6.2% You can't have both.
I wouldn't GAF if petrol increased 6.2% I drive a 3.5 litre car with shocking MPG.

You should take to their facebook page and right an essay on their wall and get lots of people to like it and share it. That seems to be the latest fashion

Sorry you've totally lost me, are you confusing me with Colin? When have I talked about portfolios or Porsches?
You keep having these digs about me and money, I'm keen to understand what they are based on.

Problem is it's the government that effectively set the fares, taxes used to fund rail, but as they're cutting the funding the cost is put on the passengers using the services. What bothers me is the way it's turned into a business for the shareholders instead of to provide a service.

Just hide in the toilets when the guard walks down the train checking everyone's tickets.
And then jump over the turnstiles at the station.
Free train travel, problem solved TBH.

Ok mate I'll just drive into central London, I'd not thought of that. Thanks.

They only do it because they know people have no other choice so they won't lose any custom.
