Right guys im needing some help.... again lol

Im currently removing my dash and sound deadening and removing all airbag stuff including wires that aint needed etc. But im wanting to remove the Heater Box thats in the middle,
Does anyone know how this is done?
is it just the case of ripping it out?

But i heard i have to join the heater pipes in the engune bay, but i have no idea how this is done or what they look like?

Help would be appreciated!

dont smash it out, there's a screw in the engine bay in between the two pipes. loads of weight saved but as said, leaves a gaping hole

what you using the car for??

aye, connect the two pipes with a bit of tube or a whole new length of hose. the heater matrix has a screw in from the engine bay though, its between the two pipes

Okay ill rip that black box out yeah? Then ill just leave them two pipes coming through and then connect them? saves the big hole in the bulk head. and still sheds weight!
I drained all the water out the radiator etc for fitting a new rad, now ive fitted my new one but havent poured fluid in yet, am i right in saying not to until them two pipes are connected? or is that different? Because i wouldnt imagine that putting antifreeze and coolant into the rad or header tank would be linked into the matrix? or am i wrong? Thanks

Those two pipes on the bulkhead are part of the coolant system.

They need joining together to bypass the heater matrix.

this ^

just bridge them together in the engine bay with a bit of metal pipe or something

your going to have a massive hole in the middle of your bulk head mind. iv just popped 2 of the plastic gromits in the floor pan through for now, let the water run back out
intentions are to plate it up like i did when i removed the a/c

does your car have a/c??

heater matrix has coolant go through it, it operates your blowers, hot/cold... behind the centre of the dash

some corsas have air con aswell though, thats another big black ugly box but it's behind the glove box and also weighs a ton

Right okay, Iknow that black box, so I'll just rip it out and connect them two pipes that come through? So will there be heaps of water that comes out them pipes when I rip that black box out? As I've drained all the water out the heater tank and rad?
