There what i have used on my car, its spotless structurally only had 45500 miles on it when i did the conversion. It may not be needed for the engine power but i build banger cars and if you have a crash it will hold the front end together alot better.

Is it possible to fit these without having to remove the radiator?

Just makes it easier to drive it to the garage and remove the bumper so they can remove the radiator then weld it up rather than waiting till the engine is out & towing it up

As said by everyone with a clue, it's not needed on even a big power XE. If the cross member is rusty then maybe a single plate on that, but only of it's dead bad. All these kits do for an XE is add yet more weight over the front wheels

Cross member is solid. Can't really see it making any noticeable difference to the weight up front tbh..

Reet has anyone got any detailed pics of the chassis plates welded in place?

Even better if they are from inside of the bay.

Just been offering mine up to see how they fit and on the LH side at the back inside the bay they dont sit flush (against the chassis) because the side of the chassis raises out at the back causeing a large gap.

Any ideas????????
