So, I've found 2 cars that I want. BMW 525D touring. I really wanted a black m sport but they are few and far between in my ideal spec. I have found one that fits the bill but it's silver, I have also found a non m sport in black that with about £1500 spent would at least look like an m sport. The cars are both currently priced the same. What would you do?

Wouldn't buy a car in a colour I didn't want. Would just annoy me all the time.

Buy the silver one. I don't like black cars anyway, they look rubbish apart from 30 seconds after they have been washed. But if you really want a black one then hold out.

Grey or nothing, imo.
Wait for the right car to come along.

Wouldnt have black especially on such a big car
They look good in silver but check history as alot of 525 M Sports in Silver where used as customer service vehicles for BMW
Although I am sure plenty of people spec'ed silver ones also

yes definitely.
i only wanted a sterling grey z4, so i didn't look at any others.
i also wanted red leather but that was a bit too rare
in your case, i'd say buy the silver one with the msport bits on for the same price as the poverty spec black one.
my uncle just bought a 320d touring in silver and it looks great.

Black is a cunt to keep clean and shows every defect in sunlight.
Go silver all day long.

i was determined to get a MG ZR in the Arden blue style colour and wouldnt compromise.
it was a 2 month search but i found it and as pleased. i knew it wouldnt mean the same if it hadnt been the colour i wanted.
with the MX5 i knew i didnt want silver or red, as those colours always looked tired and worn (on the MX5 anyway) and looked at BRG, and Black not fussy either way, ended up with black as it was the right car in every other way
Edit: i love my black car, yes it looks very matt when dusty and dirty but when it is clean it looks the balls

Wait for the one you want. When I got my 182 in black, I wanted a racing blue one, but couldn't afford one at the time, as much as I loved the black one, i always wished I'd have saved a bit more and got a racing blue one.

I wanted a black 159 but saw a red one that fitted the bill and went for it anyway. I'm glad I did as I think it looks great and probably prefer it to black now.

Good luck, very hard to find one for sale at all, let alone a nice well specced one.
I'm planning another 182 and want liquid yellow too, but will be easier for me to buy a silver one cheaper and respray it.

Colour doesn't bother me as long as it isn't something completely awful. Would rather have a good example instead.

Wouldn't care at all... Would just buy which ever one I could get the best price on and not worry about the colour.
