Wanting to refurb my centre caps on my pentas, problem is they are originally polished alloy, im wanting to find the same colour as the wheels but been to my local paint shop and they cant match it.
its a type of chrome paint and vauxhall wont give out what it is.
Anyone know the name of it at all, i managed to find a good match using a chrome effect paint from B& Q but then realised it cant be lacquered over or it will go dull so i dont think it would last long outside on the whels without a seal over it.

Could you not ask them to polish them up and just a clear coat over the polished bear metal? Or alternatively get them to use 2k paint mixed with hardners (i think that's right) and spray it without a clear coat (not sure of the later is possible with the paint you want or if I am right about the type of paint that doesn't require a clear coat)

people dont seem to think it is, ive seen alloy wheel paints on the shelf in places but not bothered with it as the cans only have lids as a guide so dont really know what colour they will be.
sont really know what to do now tbh

You can lacquer over chrome paint, but you will need a specific lacquer.

Pentas seem to either be straight silver or high power silver on other cars.
Not something you can really DIY if you want the latter effect as iirc it's a white base coat, with silver thinly applied over the top and then lots of lacquer.
