Under 1000kg isn't too bad.
Getting 900kg will require most things being removed.
Plastic windows etc

Easy done if ur willing to spend a bit and cut loads out lol.
Fibrrglass wings, bonnet and boot. As said Perspex windows, light weight buckets, remove all interior take angle grinder to brackets and parts not needed and inside doors etc, get rid of central lockin etc. heater matrix is heavy as so get rid if not needed, rest of dash as well lol. All sound deadenin etc lot of work and not cheapest but can be done easily. Have to buy a lot I light weight parts

I got my x16xe corsa down to 780kg, so I'd say it's possible with a red top.
That had a full cage aswell!

Just had my C20XE weighed for the engineer report over here.
Standard GSi trim, with a/c unit inside car, etc and 2/3 tank of fuel weighed 990kg to give you an idea of weight you start with.

I'm aiming for between the 500kg and 600kg mark.
Going to be using carbon panels on everything apart from the main floor pan lol
