I used to have an account a couple of years ago, and after a while I deleted it... Obviously you can get it back within 30 days but I didn't. How long does it stay deleted until someone else can have your old user name? Is it like after 180 days or something? I checked after 6 months and it just said 'user doesn't exist' but now someone else has it.... Just wondering what the kind of rules are type thing?

They briefly opened up account take overs for redundant accounts however I believe that's closed again now.

Can you not just re-sign up under a new name?
