Painting it is easy. 3 coats of either matt, gloss black,it don't matter. Just do it evenly.

Tbh wish I'd rapped mine now. Probs do it in the near future as it's got hundreds off scratch marks in it.
Any links Dav of the stuff you say?

poundstore rattle canned my old one gloss black as it goes matt anyway and did the upper plastics matt black. looked but scratched off if you deliberately scratched it. cant see why you'd go around scratching your roof while driving though

Get faux suede from dunelm mill if you have one local, £11 for a piece big enough to do roof lining good quality too that's what I done my door cards with.. Just whatever you do don't use aerosol adhesive

Can get it off ebay, couple of quid a metre usually. I got mine from a local material shop. Don't use spray glue to fix it though, I used evostik impact adhesive.

try stay away from dunhelm mill faux suede,, its not uv resistant so fades like a bitch on bits exposed to light ( edges of headliner and pillars, doorcars etc )
i experienced this myself years ago. never use spray glue always use a brush on contact adhesive with heat resistance
