Have a car that needs taxing, hasn't been taxed for a while, when's best to tax? End of Oct or beggining of Nov?

Start of November, if you tax it at the end of a month you will lose a month

No you don't, can tax it upto 5 days before the end of the month for the tax to start the next month iirc

Only if the car is currently taxed. If its SORN'd it will need to be the 1st.

Not taxed or SORN. Hasn't been taxed since April but only just bought it.
